The performance I am presenting, titled "Cleaning", delves into the female experience and the trauma associated with it throughout the history of warfare. "Cleaning" took place in May 2024 at a ruined hotel in Miljevina, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Historical context: During the war in the 1990s, the hotel was used as a site where women were subjected to various forms of violence, particularly sexual violence, by members of Serbian military units, which was under occupation and undergoing ethnic cleansing.
